Ever since 2018 or so, I’ve been thinking about what I’d change my name to if I could. I’ve never liked the name I was given for as long as I can remember, which is partly why I never gave it out on the internet, with the other reason, of course, being privacy. I wanted a name that was catchy, something that fit in with my synesthesia, something I could just vibe with generally. Up until now, I had been using my online handle, Seedy, as a catch-all identifier everywhere; a few people thought my real name was Seedy at one point. This claim of Seedy being a real name is not too far fetched, however, as there is actually someone called Seedy Bah, who is a Gambian footballer.

It wasn’t until late October this year that I finally found the perfect new first name and surname for myself, that being Stu Hughes.
Stu is cool, it’s sharp, it’s on-point, and fits in perfectly with my synesthetic being. See my blog post linked above for further context. Besides, I’ve always wanted to be a Hughes.
Some day, not any time soon but hopefully in the not so distant future, I will go through the tedious, pain-in-the-backside process of officially changing my name to Stu Hughes.

Is Seedy dying?

No, Seedy/SeedyThreeSixty is not dying, it’s just taking a back seat. The seedy.cc website and Seediffusion will stay alive, and the Seedy/SeedyThreeSixty username will still be used in a few places, such as various online gameing platforms like Xbox Live and PSN if I ever get a Playstation.
I will primarily be using the handle of Two Thousand Stu from here on out. Two Thousand Stu is, of course, a play on 2002 (two thousand two). Those who know me well will know the 2000s is my favourite decade.
